NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Clarksdale Public Utilities Commission, City of Clarksdale, Mississippi, will receive electronic or sealed proposals for ELECTRIC LINE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE until 9:00 A.M. on April 21, 2022, at the offices of the Commission, 416 Third Street, Clarksdale, Mississippi, at which time and place the Commission shall cause the proposals to be publicly opened and read aloud in the Conference Room in Clarksdale Public Utilities.

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Proposal documents are being made available via digital copy. Plan holders are required to log-in or register for an account at www.atwellandgentprojects.com to view and order Proposal Documents. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Proposal documents are nonrefundable and must be purchased through the website.

SUBMITTAL OF SEALED BIDS: Each bid must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions to bidders which are bound in the Project Manual. The Clarksdale Public Utilities Commission reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.

SUBMITTAL OF ELECTRONIC BIDS: For anyone interested in submitting their Proposal electronically in place of a sealed Proposal, they may do so only through www.atwellandgentprojects.com. Questions regarding website registration, online orders or electronic proposals please contact Atwell and Gent, P.A. at (662) 324-5658. Each electronically submitted bid must be submitted in “pdf” format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper bids. In the event that an electronically submitted bid has a corrupted attachment, the bid will be considered null and void.

The Clarksdale Public Utilities Commission reserves the right to reject any and all proposals submitted and to waive any informalities or technicalities therein. Proposals shall be prepared in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders bound in the Specifications.

No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The Clarksdale Public Utilities Commission reserves the right, within the limitations of state law, to reject any or all Proposals received, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Proposals received, or to accept any Proposal which is deemed most favorable to the Commission. Proposals shall be prepared in accordance with the Request for Proposals for ELECTRIC LINE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE.
